PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - APRIL 2025
Hi everyone!
First and foremost, wow, what a great Auction and that Show! That was a very busy day. We saw 98 entries in our Show over 60 the previous year. That’s absolutely amazing! That’s a huge increase. Big thank you to everyone that Showed and another Big Thank you to Bob W for handling this Show.Thank you to all the Show Sponsors.
Big thank you to all of our volunteers for helping out. Runners, chit writers, table organizers, kitchen, set up, tear down, check in, check out, handling cash, draws, loading info and more. Thank you, Jerry and Mike, for your auctioning skills.
Thank you to all who brought items to sell and thank you all for coming out and making purchases. Thank you for all the amazing Donations from our many sponsors.
Last month Tim McCaskie provided us with a program on Madagascar and its many beautiful fish and area.Thank you so much Tim. Really great program.
Our program on April 10 will be presented by Ed K about Dwarf Cichlids. Ed has written many articles for our Bulletin about different species he has had success spawning.
Our next event at the Waterdown Legion is the Swap Meeting on Sat Sept 27. This is a great way to sell equipment, tanks, any used equipment, fish products you’re not using or you have an abundance of. Tables are $40. Please contact Mike for a table.
Our 75th Birthday Bash - Fri Nov 14 to Sun Nov 16 - is being held at the Burlington Holiday Inn. Speakers include: Marcus Nicholls, Dean Baayens, Jacqueline Heijman Bennett-Leavers and Eric Bodrock. Events taking place at the convention are the 5th Canadian Biotope Competition, Aquascape Competition, Vendors, Dinner with a guest speaker. Our Giant Fall Auction will tale place on Sunday Nov 16. There is no charge to attend the auction.

Sept 15 thru Nov 5 - $150
