H&DAS 75th Birthday Bash and CAOAC Convention Speaker Bio

Eric Bodrock - All Oddball Aquatics

Keeping & Breeding Corydoradinae
  • Eric’s talk will cover the maintenance, conditioning, spawning techniques and triggers to successfully spawn many of the catfishes in the sub-family of Corydoradinae, or what most of us simply called Corydoras until recently.
This talk is ideal for both the beginner and advanced hobbyist who want to work with these fish. Bring your notebook; you'll surely pick up a few good ideas to try for yourself!

Spawning MY Favorite Oddballs, Part ?
  • Eric has successfully spawned over 530 species of fish and his presentation will cover some of his favourite oddballs from over the years. He’ll be covering some techniques and many of his thoughts and interesting ideas that have been beneficial & useful in their spawning.
Even though he lives with speaker Regina Spotti, who is also giving a talk on spawning her favourite oddballs, none of the fish in their presentations will be repeated and you will quickly see that they each have their own way of doing things…which is why they each have their own fish rooms!

Eric Bodrock is the Owner of All Oddball Aquatics, a tropical fish hatchery and independent online retailer located near Pittsburgh PA. Along with his fiancé, Regina Spotti, they currently maintain about 275 aquariums in their home-based hatchery and are working with many species of fish. Eric has been active in the aquarium hobby since age 10 and has worked in the retail, wholesale/distribution, installation, and hatchery aspects of the industry.
In addition to his accomplishment of successfully spawning over 530 species of freshwater fish, including more than 145 species of catfish, he has had articles published in magazines such as AMAZONAS, TFH, and Cichlid News, has judged dozens of fish shows and has given countless presentations.

In addition to covering much of the United States, he has travelled to aquarium related events in Australia, Canada, Germany, Norway, Peru, and the United Kingdom.
Eric has been an active member of the Greater Pittsburgh Aquarium Society since 1975! He considers himself as a “Lifer” in the hobby and continues to promote the aquarium hobby in every possible way…you’ll often hear him say: “There’s always room for one more tank!”
