H&DAS 75th Birthday Bash and CAOAC Convention Speaker Bio

Marcus Nicholls

For my talks, I've landed on a two-part series which together explores the theme of "The Role of Hobbyist Aquarists in Endangered Species Conservation" .
  • "Three Men and a Pup(fish): Launching a Breeding Program"
  • "Tanks without Borders: The Hobbyist Effort to Conserve the imperilled Allotoca genus"

Marcus Nicholls is the Coordinator for the Canada Region of the Goodeid Working Group. He’s a project member of the Allotoca Mesa Central Captive Breeding Program.

Marcus is a Professional biologist now based in Alberta and was formerly a marine biologist in Europe. He’s also a member of the Calgary Aquarium Society. He’s currently keeping 20+ species of goodeids.
